Dear viewer,
Beekeeping is fun. Beekeepers, like bees, are sociable animals who enjoy each others company, comparing ideas and helping each other out.
We have an association apiary where you can come and find out about beekeeping with some experienced beekeepers.
If you are thinking of taking up beekeeping, read the 'beekeeping' pages and then contact Jill Tinsey (Chair) on 01362 694160 or Terry Gibson (Education) on 01553 674051 so that we can help you get started.
If you are an existing member then you will find features about the association and its members - you are welcome and encouraged to use the website to share your experiences of beekeeping.
Our events are open to everyone so do come along and see us in action. The events page has a list of all the events for the year.
See you soon,
Jill Tinsey (Chairperson)

Apiary Opening by Henry Bellingham M.P.
On 4th April 2009, our new apiary was officially opened by Henry Bellingham. Behind the scenes, Brian Gemmell and a cast of thousands had worked hard at clearing the site, erecting facilities, transferring hives and getting the place ship shape.
On the day 63 members arrived and heard Henry make an impassioned speech, highlighting the problems with bees and pledging support for the fight for more research funding.
The Eastern Daily press was in attendance and carried the story on Monday. Member John Woodford also appeared on Radio Norfolk on the preceding Friday, doing sterling work highlighting the issues for beekeepers and the hard work being done by WNKLBA in raising awareness and funds for research.
